Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
A trauma-focused approach in which the client focuses on a trauma memory, while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (eye movements). This allows for reduction in the emotion and distress associated with the trauma memories.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Develop strategies to tolerate distress, promote mindfulness, improve interpersonal relationship, and foster healthy emotions.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Identifying, questioning, and changing problematic thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
Develop a healthy sense of self, through inquiry of feelings, finding meaning, and focusing on personal strengths.
